Some days you get lucky. Yesterday was one of those days. As I've mentioned before, the birders at Bolsa Chica are really friendly and I asked a couple if they'd seen any interesting birds. They pointed to the marsh saying that a hawk was over there.

The Harrier was perched on a bush! I was so excited as there was no fence in my way!!! I got numerous shots. Here's one of her flying. This is a full frame shot! I hope you have the time to view it Large on Black.

Sometimes I like the setting as much as the bird, and this is one of those times. My son thought the pastel sky, the light fog, and grasses made it look like a painting. This shot has no crop, and it is much better when viewed Large.
