I recently read about a person being killed by a mountain lion in California, so I do understand how dangerous Pumas can be.

But that makes being able to walk near them and photograph them in their habitat all the more special.

You see, the Pumas in Chile have ample food and I was with guides who knew them intimately. I am very fortunate.

Hummingbirds are very territorial and they often attack each other using their beaks as swords.Once I saw one pin another on the ground standing on his wings while he poked him in his chest with his beak.
