she picked out photo. said yes a few times. and presented me with a handful of beads. "It's nice and everything." She said.
(an aside: I'm happy the tiger swallowtail butterfly is enjoying the flower, but i got the foxglove as a hummingbird experiment. I've not noticed any interest. Meanwhile, coral honeysuckle is sampled a lot).

Spring time is galaxy hunting time for me in Arkansas USA. (I can still see Orion slipping off toward western horizon in the early evening, from a nearby hilltop, but not where I live). So, this is taking a tour of galaxies situated in the night sky in the general vicinity of the big dipper (ursa major). The whirlpool galaxy (according to wikipedia) is some 21-33 million light years away. It is easily found and studied by professional astronomers for its spiral nature and the interaction with its companion galaxy (NGC 5195).
