I took this shot back in 2012 and have 'tidied it up' a bit getting rid of some slight noise in the background - I've always fancied having this printed for the wall, but as I cannot find the original shot it seems it will be staying on here .... Postscript at the end of Feb - a good friend ran this shot through a pixel-increasing programme and I've since had it printed 40 inches wide on art board - its turned out beautiful and is now on the wall in the living room!!

Back in the Cairngorms and back to one of my favourite 'shrooms' ... I waited many long years to see this and despite photographing it last time, I couldn;t wait to go to it again this morning, sit down in front of it and marvel ....

Long have I wanted to take 'a decent' pic of this stunning moth - a shame he wasn;t in pristine condition but I'm guessing the only way to get those kind of shots is to raise the caterpillars - I might think about this the next time I see one crossing a country road in the fells!!
