The sunrise this morning was really, really orange to the east. There was a lot of definition in the clouds and there was rain that was highlighted by the rising sun, causing even more of an orange glow in places. In person, it was nuts. In this photo, it's great but somewhat toned down. It's probably because I included so much area far beyond where the orange was. Anyway, this is a 14-shot panorama, taken from....you guessed it: Mt. Washington! :-)

Not to be confused with The Thirsty Scholar, this "cute" rat aka squirrel needed a drink after I (unintentionally) scared the crap out of him. I actually made him scream and run from me. It was like a scene from a cartoon - hilarious! The tone went from Looney Tunes to Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom as I quietly observed him getting a drink of water.
