Wasn't sure if I wanted to continue posts of my day at the circus, but could not resist this old Golfer Clown with his sad eyes - especially after I converted the image to B&W
What story his face can tell.
This just won: 2016 Iowa State Fair Photography Contest - Best in Show!
One of my favorite scenes at the circus isn’t always the acts but the enjoyment the children experience.
I had to lay on the ground to capture this shot -the opportunity was there – timing it with the act was difficult as the elephants kept moving positions!
Like an Elephant never forgets …. neither will these kids

As the last light of day reflects off the grave makers of our Veteran’s that so honorably served our county; it seems fitting that from where they lie, they can watch over those they protected who are unsuspectingly driving by, and get to look out over a western horizon ...to a colorfully warm sun-setting sky.
The scene was taken at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery which looks west over Dallas County and Interstate 80.

(SOOC) The image was taken: Canon 7D, 18mm, f8.0, ISO 100, 20 second exposure. The light trails could be achieved at about 13 seconds but to include the graves it took the full 20 seconds
