Cattle trough.

It’s quite a view from up here on the Bury. The spike on the horizon is Tyndale’s Monument. Tyndale was burnt at the stake in Bristol about 30 miles south of here for translating the Bible into English.

I thought it would make a good Fence Friday pic, and I thought I’d try an take a break from flowers (it is Flora Friday too). The image wasn’t a particularly good one and I thought a rather dark gritty look would create a bit of interest…

This was taken around midday in January this year on a walk around the local hillfort which is called Uley Bury.

The light was this lovely contrasty with sun rays. I thought it might make a good monochrome for my 100x Mono & Toned project. So here we have it :)
