This is the (relatively) unmangled version as I would have published it, for those who think nature is quiet beautiful enough as it is without a photographer tweaking things all the time...

This is the one for Sliders Sunday today I think (I'll regret it by tomorrow I am sure).
Topaz Studio 2 did the biz again with Glow and Smudge filters starting from the Electrify look and wandering off from there.
I just love the colours and exploding softness. And it's sufficiently abstracted from the original that it makes me look again at both which is something I like when I am mangling.
This is my favourite of the day, probably because it's the last one I worked on. I'm a simple soul really - perhaps it's the only one I can remember to choose from (certainly true of my affection for particular flowers) :)

This is for the 100x group where my self-inflicted challenge is to produce 100 monochrome and toned images this year.
Topaz Studio 2 did the biz with Glow and Smudge filters starting from the Heavy Metal preset and wandering off from there.
I was trying to emphasise the soft featheriness look in the processing. Glow is good for this sort of thing because the filter looks for lines to extend and split. This ended up with a stylised dandelion look. Very dandy...

Another dandelion shot from a series I took a while back.
This is version is an interesting explore of a new technique I fell over while messing about on the iPad with Affinity
It goes like this: take the normal image and duplicate it. Use an adjustment on the bottom version (this was High Pass/Linear Blend though others were interesting too) and then blend the top copy with Difference mode. This will be very dark but it has interesting lines and colours. Zap it with a sledgehammer Exposure adjustment to actually see what you have got and then tweak from there...
It reminds me a bit of some plugin effects you can get, and it adds a bit of interesting colour and detail...
