Churchyard.

Another one taken at the same time as the Exploding Magnolia. So a Multiple Exposure (8 images?) shot with continuous release at 5 fps while zooming the zoom (far to much zoom in my life just now... :) ).

This technique is very subject critical. I think ideally it seems to work best with a light "subject" with distinct form against a dark background. Buildings or recognisable objects are much better than natural things like hedges or trees.

Anyway, yet another sepia toned shot. Perhaps I'm getting over that allergy. Mind you I also have an allergy to frames...

Another one for the Thursday Monochome group, and another for my 100x Monochrome and Toned (only dozens behind now ;) ).

Thank you for taking the time to look. I hope you enjoy the image. Happy Monochrome Thursday and 100x!! :)

[Nik Silver Efex.]

Aubretia.

This is for the Smile on Saturday theme Blue For You - ME 2020 remembering and encouraging all who suffer from ME and pain. How worthy at this time of anxiety for so many!

Thank you Maria for running the group so well in spite of the challenges you face :)

This was a top-down colour image of the aubretia by the path in my back garden, processed into monochrome and then recoloured and split-toned.

Aubretia is a lovely little plant that forms small mounds of purple, blue, russet or pink flowers and looks lovely by paths or tumbling down walls. This one originally was quite lilacy purple but reprocessed for the blue theme.

I took out the background and then tried to emphasise the venation in the pretty petals.

Also for my 100x monochrome and toned...

Thank you for taking the time to look. I hope you enjoy the image! Happy SoS and 100x :)

Bluebells.

These bluebell-type flowers seem to have invaded all of my garden. These ones are in the Lily thicket in the back. They're very pretty but I suspect we will need to thin them out...

Another experiment in monochrome. The lily leaves are bright green and very curvaceous, but I wanted to draw attention to the little flowers, especially the repetition of the sprays from bottom to top.

So this was done in Silver Efex with a blue filter to take down the leaves. Then split toned with orange/blue. Along with the usual sharpening and vignetting jiggery pokery (yey - that caught the spell checker out :) )...

Another dark moody one. Not sure if it's too dark and moody - certainly creates a sense of isolation. I'd be interested in your thoughts, as ever :)

For the Thursday Monochrome group and also my 100x Monochrome & Toned project.

Thank you for taking the time to look. I hope you enjoy the image. Happy Donnerstagsmonochrom and 100x! :)

Aquilegia (Columbine).

Based on the natural version of this image .

Processed in Nik Silver Efex using one of my presets (created from an earlier converted image).

This is probably my favourite of the whole set... but I have two others too :) I'm always curious to see what you like so please say, if you have a moment.

This is (also) for my 100x challenge (monochrome & toned).

I'll link the in-camera version in the first comment so you can see how far we came...

Thank you for taking the time to look. I hope you enjoy the image. Happy 100x :)
