Tulips - a straight version as I would process it normally.

These were taken in my front garden about ten days ago with my 50mm prime that produces lovely blurry bits (doesn’t that sound better than bokeh eh?? :) ).

As it’s Sliders Sunday I shall post a link to the in-camera original in the first comment so you can see how far we came.

Thank you for taking the time to look. I hope you enjoy the image!

[Handheld in bright daylight.
Developed in Capture One retrieving the blown-out red highlights from the raw, and doing a bit of colour and tone tweaking.
Processed in Affinity with High Pass/Linear Blend sharpening.
Selective Depth of Field blur added except for the central bit.
Crop and dark vignette, and that is about it]

Tulips - Interpretation 1.

I like way this changed the colour emphasis from the originals - in all there are four texture layers.

Thank you for taking the time to look. I hope you enjoy the image! Happy Sliders Sunday!

[Handheld in bright daylight.
Developed in Capture One retrieving the blown-out red highlights from the raw, and doing a bit of colour and tone tweaking.
Processed in Topaz Studio 2 starting from the Cornflower Shadows preset and then a fair bit of tweaking with texture layers for the paper texture, and quite a lot of colour and tone work. Dark vignette.]

Tulips - Interpretation 2

When you've got colour why not change it? I like the way simply changing the colour makes you reevaluate what you see in an image...

Processed in Topaz Studio 2 starting from the Spring Fields preset and quite a lot of tweaking thereafter, especially for colour and tone balance, and added paper texture.]

Tulips - Interpretation #

This is probably my favourite because it makes me ask what is important visually in the image. Probably best appreciated large (press z).

[Handheld in bright daylight.
Developed in Capture One retrieving the blown-out red highlights from the raw, and doing a bit of colour and tone tweaking.
Processed in Topaz Studio 2 starting from the Bliss preset, but with a lot of extra work.
The stripey detail is from the Glow filter. I took down the blacks to make the whole thing darker.
Cropped, and Healed some bright bits in the bottom left corner. Dark vignette too to diminish disractions.]
