This is processed in Nik Color Efex using the solarisation filter as the main effect, but in a monochrome method. I rather like this one in spite of the lack of colour!

I'll add it to my monochrome 100x.

Cattel's Mill cap windmill.

This was taken last year in Cambridgeshire where I was staying. The grain mill was built in the 1800s and was working to the middle of the last century. It's now been partially restored.

It's a very interesting piece of engineering. The fan we are looking at keeps the whole white cap and the main windmill sails pointing into the wind. A very expensive wind vane!

I was wondering what to do for Sliders Sunday this week, and my mind was pretty blank, to be honest. So I thought I would do a series of colourful interpretations of this view using Nik Color Efex, partly as an antidote to all the monochromes I have been posting.

This is a properly processed version (to my mind anyway - hardly the most reliable). It's by way of an apology to folk who prefer photorealism. I'll post a set of others but I have to warn you they are pretty extreme...

Developed in Capture One for colour and contrast and to retrieve the shadow areas from the raw source.
Flipped horizontally because it seems to read better that way.
Processed in Affinity Photo with some sharpening and in this version a gentle dark vignette.]

This is processed in Nik Color Efex using about nine different filters including Bleach process, Dark Contrast, Duplex and Soft Focus.

It's perhaps my favourite of the weird ones so I shall put it in Sliders Sunday.
