I bought this old chair at a second hand store in 1980. It was in faded, but decent shape then. Since then I have wavered between garage saling it (before it was this bad), re-covering it (almost bought $50 worth of material), or (most recently) burning it. But as you can see, it has become the chair of the dog, and now the cat. It looks like it belongs in the dump, but it stays in the library, loved by the furry ones.

Toby is getting playful. He likes sandals, his "sock buddy", and anything he can get his teeth and claws into, including my leg.

Since the adult dog food was proving a little too much of a challenge, we gave Toby kitten chow soaked in the mild replacement formula. He eats it with little growls and mews of enthusiasm.
