It was getting late and I was thinking about going to bed when I realized I hadn't taken a picture all day. I would need a photo for Friday if I was going to continue my quest of a picture-a-day for the year 2007. But it was dark in the house. Everything I took was blurry and yellow - and extremely boring. Finally Cally showed up. Funny how that cheered me up.
The stuff on the porch: dead Christmas tree lights, cannibalized for bulbs; birdhouse gourds that should be brought in and allowed to dry in the basement; my muddy shoes; the green stool Cally is perched on; my gray sweater covered with tiny burrs from my last hike down by the river.
