There is a beautiful view from the Cut River Bridge on Highway 2 west of St. Ignace. There are walk ways on either side of the bridge from which you can enjoy a nice view of Lake Michigan, or the gorge, but I guess people kept jumping the rail and crossing the road so they could see both sides, in which case one is likely to get seriously run over. So they built a stair that goes down to a tunnel that passes under the bridge and comes up on the other side.

My husband's favorite fishing phrase: "That's why they call it FISHING. If you were getting fish, they would call it CATCHING."

On our way to Munising on tuesday, we went over a bridge on a gravel road and I saw this. Had to stop! I don't know the name of the river, but it's on road 415 near McMillan and hw 28.
I just looked on the map. This flat area is called the Laketon Slough and the river is Red Creek, as far as I can tell from the map.
