Another shot from last nights Ramble with Amble Flickr Group trip doon the Quayside after meeting up at Manors Carpark. Simon and I split from the pack (unknowingly i think) and went to the Pitcher & Piano but we were rained off so headed back up river to the wonderful Swing Bridge where the rest of the posse were and after seeing Davy's (jimmypop68) efforts i took up position nearly under the swing bridge facing down river. What a scene! I used my LED Lenser P3 to light the ladder and edging in the foreground but i dont think its showed in the final result.
Again ive went with a mono and this seems to be a regular occurance atm... i dont know if i do it to mask my shots or if its because i feel sometimes it adds drama... I'd like some feedback on distortion here and if the bridge looks ok the way it is... I tried using the straighten tool in ACR on different elements and this seemed like the best comp.
EDIT: Ive straightened the right hand tower using the warp tool and it looks much better now :)

A shot on the Swing Bridge on the Newcastle/Gateshead Quayside taken on last nights Ramble with Amble Group meet up in the City Centre. Wasnt a very fruitful outing this time thanks to the crappy weather but its was good to meet a few new faces and catch up with a few old ones aswell. Special thanks to Simon for the petal hood :)

Another shot from the Ramble with Amble city jaunt with Mick & Marko. This was our final and probably most productive spot where the panoramic views are worth the visit alone. All i will add is that as i said on the night i reckon going 2 floors down wouldve yielded better shots form this angle. I have to say for someone like me this is invaluable going with people like Mick & Marko as you gain confidence and get to see how they go on in situ so thanks guys :)

When the Ramble with Amble city extravaganza was blighted by 'that fine rain' we took it underground and hit St James Metro Station. I havnt been on a Metro for many a year and its looking a bit grimy at this station. While Mick and Marko talked full frame i stayed clear to avoid a serious bout of camera envy lol This is a quick shot with my Samyang 8mm Fisheye as the carriage rolled in. Quick conversion using Niksoft Silvere Efex Pro 2.

Have to say it was an honour to be the wingman of these 2 dudes :)
