The roar was loud and impressive. Was a bit thrilling standing here....

For scale I left in a few fellow spectators in the top left corner. They are at the viewing platform on the other side.

A mid day shot with harsh lighting, shooting thru layers of branches and boughs. Thought it worked alright in b/w.

Shannon Falls is the 3rd highest waterfall in British Columbia, falling 1105 ft (335 meters). This is the lower portion, with low autumn flow. Would love to see this in the spring when it's really roaring.

Looking towards Galena Summit. This is where "The River of Return", Salmon River, has it's source.

Galena Summit is a high mountain pass in central Idaho, United States, at an elevation of 8,701 feet (2,652 m) above sea level. The pass is located in the Boulder Mountains, within the Sawtooth National Recreation Area of the Sawtooth National Forest.
