Another oldie from 2010 to go with yesterday's Highline Trail pic. Here's a small slice of Glacier's Going To The Sun Road, with Bird Woman Falls under Mt. Cannon and the Weeping Wall on the right. Tis challenging to stay on this narrow winding road with stunning beauty all around.

I'm blessed to have hundreds of images in my archives to work on to share in the future. Unless I'm on a trip or chores pull me away I generally post an image daily. Let's say 300 a year. But I take a few thousand raw images a year, depending on how much I get out image hunting, leaving me with a considerable archive library to work later. Like these past 2 posts. A good problem to have eh?

A shot from 2010 of a section of one of my favorite hikes (my list is long).

The Highline Trail is an extremely popular hike, and for good reason. At every step, and every turn, hikers will have absolutely spectacular scenery as the Highline follows along the Continental Divide, also known as the Garden Wall in this area. The exceptionally beautiful views, the excellent opportunities for spotting wildlife, and the wildflowers, all combine to make this a hike you'll remember the rest of your life. If you're looking for solitude, however, you won’t find it on this trail. Did I mention it's popular.....

Bird Woman Falls is slightly in view in the hanging valley between Mt. Cannon and Mt. Oberlin. The Valley to the right is the McDonald Creek drainage that leads to McDonald Lake.

A couple hikers are heading my way, if you can spot them.

A shedding nanny and kid mountain goat grazing on glacial lilies in Glacier's Logan Pass, near Hidden Lake. The nanny was weaning the cute kid which was really paying attention to what she dined on. Glacial lilies are a favorite of theirs.

There are so many hikers on that trail that the goats are fairly tame, most of the time ignoring us.
