I believe that is Mt. Ishbel in the distance with the Bow River in the foreground.
I must admit I really really wished a bear, bull moose or bull elk would wander out on that gravel bar and pose for me. I could imagine them looking up waiting for my click. I've seen them several times in this area. Wouldn't that have been nice....! One can dream.....but not this day.
Regardless was a nice landscape shot.

Looking north across Cascade Pond at the mountain it's named after. I admired the stormy crown on the mountain this morning.
Elevation: 9,836 feet / 2,998 meters.
Cascade Mountain is a mountain located in the Bow River Valley of Banff National Park, adjacent to the town of Banff. The mountain was named in 1858 by James Hector after the waterfall or cascade on the southern flanks of the peak. Cascade is the highest mountain adjacent to the townsite.
