Please view on Black (press L). SOOC no editing. The lights on Michigan Ave are always beautiful at night. When it's raining they're even better. It took me longer than I would have liked to capture the red stoplight reflecting off some water pooled on top of this pole. A little unusual to focus on the pooling water and the droplets on the sides of the pole instead of the drops on the front (or both), but I thought it emphasized the concept more this way. Or maybe I just couldn't hold the umbrella, focus manually, and snap a shot all at the same time. Any tips on how to do that more effectively would be greatly appreciated!

SOOC no editing, no flash. The picture was taken at night next to a streetlight in Printer's Row that was illuminating some of the leaves on this tree. The blending of illuminated leaves and night sky created something of a molten backdrop for the solitarily leaf that served as my main subject.
Better on black, I think...

This is a nice place to go for an evening walk (as long as one is sufficiently bundled). Not on the water, of course (unless one has special powers) but on the well-lit walkway overlooking the harbor.
