I love the lights on Michigan Avenue. Sometimes the light coming from this street is so bright that it can seem like natural evening light long after the sun has made its departure. That's the impression I got when shooting this snow fence late at night. I tried to align the top of the fence with the bokeh lights in a way that would make it seem as if the bokeh dots were floating up from this midnight fence. I was also intrigued by the contast between the untouched snow on the left side of the fence and the well-trodden snow on the right.
I think that this all white background nearly destroys the shot. Please view large on real black. Click the link (better than pressing L, but Lightbox is a decent second option):
