Our history begins about 14,000 years ago, when the
shore of the Adriatic Sea was at the height of the city of Ancona and the entire Gulf of Venice was one
large prairie, with rivers that flowed converging towards the sea, until they all came together in one,
Fourteen thousand years ago, however, an event of enormous importance for life on the Planet occurred: i
glaciers began to melt because the climate was changing and annual average temperatures were standing
increasing. The glaciers melted and a huge mass of water poured from the Alps towards the plain and towards the
sea. The latter, the sea, then began to rise slowly. Its level increased and the water
marina gradually reconquered the great basin of the Gulf of Venice.
