*Vancouver, October 1, 2023* – Members of the Baloch People's Congress joined Kurdish activists on September 30, 2023, in a solemn tribute to the victims of the tragic Zahedan massacre that took place on September 30, 2022. This massacre, perpetrated by Iranian regime forces, remains a stark reminder of the ongoing atrocities faced by the Baloch people.

On this grim anniversary, protestors from both communities stood united in their call for global intervention to halt the continuing Baloch genocide carried out by the governments of Iran and Pakistan. They fervently appealed to world leaders and the United Nations to take immediate action.

The protestors implored human rights organizations and international media to shed light on the gross human rights violations committed by both regimes against the Baloch people. They expressed solidarity with all nations subjected to occupation by Iran and Pakistan, emphasizing the urgent need for a collective campaign for their rights and freedoms.

Tragically, during the commemoration of the Zahedan massacre, Iranian regime forces unleashed further violence, resulting in the loss of more lives. Additionally, a bomb blast occurred in Mastung, by extremist proxies of the Pakistani establishment.

The relentless atrocities inflicted upon the Baloch people by Iran and Pakistan, since the unlawful occupation of sovereign Balochistan, have led to a cultural and physical genocide. The national and cultural identity of the Baloch people is under constant threat from the oppressive regimes.

The Baloch People's Congress urgently calls upon the international community, media outlets, and human rights organizations to intervene decisively and bring an end to the genocide of the Baloch people.
