After yesterday's wood chipping display of 'drumming', a rhyming transition to 'humming' seems like a good way to go. I photographed this female ruby-throated hummingbird this morning. The beating of their wings is one of my favorite sounds.

A very small tongue protrudes from the beak of a female Ruby-throated hummingbird. I have had lots of fun photographing these petite wonders.
