Raccoon ~ (Procyon lotor)

Bumped into this fella relaxing in the oaks at Circle B last week. Despite his obvious lack of feathers I felt compelled to take a picture.

Thanks for visiting!

Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes) - Nova Scotia, Canada

An unexpected encounter this morning with a red fox. It paused and gave me a few photographs before continuing on its way.

Thanks for visiting!

Alligator - Circle B Bar Reserve

No, your eyes are not deceiving you, no feathers or beaks today. This was taken at Circle B. A group of tiny alligators huddling together on a log. I wanted to do more for this shot, better angle, position - but I was afraid Mamma would object, and there were some large (I mean LARGE!) alligators at Circle B.

For cold-blooded creatures, this gave me a warm feeling.

Thanks for visiting!

Red Squirrel (Tamiasciurus hudsonicus)

When I took this photo, it was one of those days my feathered friends were quiet, this squirrel showed up to keep me company. Thanks for visiting!

Red Squirrel (Tamiasciurus hudsonicus)

This groovy squirrel got his hands on a tasty mushroom. There is a resemblance to the psilocybin mushrooms that are commonly known as Magic Mushrooms. Although I am sure it is just a healthy dose of fungus, it makes me wonder what would happen to a hyperactive neurotic little rodent if it were to ingest magic mushrooms? In my mind, a relaxed philosophical discussion on the nature of existence with the ducks on the other side of the park.
