Thanks for visiting and for any fav's and/or comments!

An Eastern Phoebe stakes its claim to a reed stalk on Horsepen Bayou. These little flycatchers don't sit still for long but often after hopping into the air to snag a careless flying insect, they will return to the same launch site, all the while calling out their own name: "feeebeee, feeebeee."
A Northern Waterthrush pauses for a brief moment on this mossy rock as it forages along a small stream. It was such a treat to watch this guy jumping along the rocks in this small stream deep in the forest this past summer. This was only my second time getting good looks at this species so I was very happy to come away with this shot.
