Nederlandse Dwergauto Club. CRASH 40-45 air museum But what are these cars? They are obviously very small vehicles, but there were so many and various. And "small" is quite relative and subjective. In the Dutch microcars Club DWAC it is clear what we mean namely historical motorized 3- and 4-wheeled vehicles whose engine has a capacity of up to 600 cc. And "historic" we have defined as vehicles whose production was completed before 1970. We want to keep these vehicles as possible for posterity and also maximize them safely ride on public roads. Most of these cars were built in the fifties of the last century and then called "scooter", "bubble car" (especially the ones with large arched windows), and sometimes just "small car". Only a few models microcars built in large numbers (more than 100,000) as the Messerschmitt, the Goggomobil and the BMW Isetta. |
