The first real heavy snowfall of the year I headed off to Edale in the Peak District to do a circular walk and see what shots could be picked up, absolutely freezing conditions with waist high snow drifts in parts of the walk, this was the scene looking towards Edale from half way up Mam Tor, the valley taking on a whole new appearance with basic black and white contrast opposed to the more usual colourful greens and reds, the dark lines of the trees and stone walls breaking up an otherwise all white scene, a nightmare to expose for having to shoot well over the camera's recommendations due to the brightness of the snow throughout the frame.
