Me and the Jenkins sisters (Helen and Marjorie) grinning madly after a post-school confectionery treat. I suspect we were asked to all hold hands for the camera and failed to make much of a job of it.

This is in Poulton Hall Road, Wallasey. I reckon Marjorie and I are about eight here, which I think would make Helen six.

I was way ahead of the curve with my Inspector Gadget mac.

10 weeks? Three months? Around that, I think. And dressed like a girl, it would seem.

Auntie Dolly looked after me for the first six months because my family were still in shock after Jeff Astle's winner in the '68 Cup final. (This might not be true).
