Joyce seems to forget her usual serious look here and gives us a warm smile instead, much to my delight. She clearly feels at ease in her pretty dress and is playing with her satin skirt, enjoying both how soft it feels and that ultimate sense of femininity that comes with it. Looking feminine in a beautiful dress is great, and feeling super feminine is even better. She's enjoying both, and then a smile is simply unavoidable.

From this lower angle Joyce looks every much as chic, feminine and pretty as usual, yet also very strong, confident and powerful. I love that combination because it shows that the first doesn't exclude the latter at all. Quite the contrary in fact: femininity is often very powerful indeed.

When I do a photo shoot with my friend Joyce she usually has a very serious look. She prefers that style and I respect that, so when we make photos together I do all the photography creativity and she does the modelling creativity in her own style. I love how her dress highlights her feminine curves with optimal elegance, so quite subtle and not too pronounced. It's open at the shoulders, then decent and chic at the bust with just a modest V-shape, followed by a tight waistline and then flaring out at the hips. Definitely the curves of a woman, yet with the class of a lady. The best combination in my opinion.
