The past 24 hours have been insane. I was out shooting all morning, came home, had lunch, a nap - necessary after only five hours sleep - and then learned that a storm was on the way. Watched the squall line stretching across the horizon, grabbed my gear and jumped in the car. Five km out of town I took a side road, jumped out, and made this shot. The cloud shelf on the right was moving very fast, and lightning was flashing to the left, so I worked fast, in a wind that was strong enough to knock me off balance. Ten minutes later the rain came hammering down, and I headed for home, to find trees down in the village and the power out. No damage to my house.
The power has been off and on since then. After a calm night, the wind is roaring this afternoon. I will try to get to everyone's photos but it all depends on the power staying on!
