Fluidr / White-naped Honeyeaters by aaardvaark

Another first time for me - there were three species of honeyeaters all busy in this single large tree that was not flowering. I finally worked out that they were enthusiastically drinking sugary sap at various locations in this eucalypt. The remaining question is did the birds do the mining by digging through the bark, or did they come upon this after some other animal did the work?
