Driving from Grand Junction to Mancos, I tok a 100 mile detour to see the Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP, but storms descended and the top of the canyon was shrouded in clouds! Couldn't really see the cayon itself until I got to the bottom, where the road crosses the Gunnison. Big thunderstorms went around me, but the mountain passes between Silverton and Durango had sleet and snow, and were also cloud-obscured! Quite the range of temps after being in 100 degree Utah.
