Madrid has spectacular skies. Every day we were there, clear skies gave way to clouds as sunset approached, always richly textured and never the same.

Palacio Real (Royal Palace) in Madrid at sunset. The palace is still the official residence of the Spanish royal family. It is the largest functioning royal palace and the largest by floor area in Europe. The palace is built on the foundations of the Moorish castle (the Alcázar), later extended by Charles V and Philip II. The current palace dates from 1760-ies, after the Alcázar was destroyed by fire (partialy restated from Wikipedia).

Temple of Debod was originally erected 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) south of Aswan[2] in Upper Egypt. In 1960, due to the construction of the Aswan Dam, the temple was donated to Spain and reconstructed in Madrid.
