From History Colorado: “Between 1915 and 1926, the State Bank of Raymer provided citizens and the agricultural and business community in and around New Raymer with a local financial institution that was largely owned and operated by their neighbors. [It] is also a fine example of a small-scale Early 20th Century American Movement commercial bank building ... constructed in rural Weld County. Features consistent with architectural trends of the period include the building’s light-colored brick on its street-facing sides, flat roof with parapet, simple ornamentation, large storefront windows, and cutaway corner entry.”

Friends of Raymer has been formed to restore three buildings in this tiny town. This is one of them. Not much visible progress yet, but I wish them well.
