Dipping the bicycle in the Pacific Ocean in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada at Mile Zero Beach.
Actually the dip was in the Straits of Juan de Fuca just below the cliffs off Dallas Road at the foot of Douglas Street (Mile Zero Beach.)
The Strait was named after Juan de Fuca who was Shanghaied by Sir Frances Drake on his secret mission to find the Strait of Anian - that mythical route through the centre of North America that would connect Europe to the Far East. (1577-1580)
