There was a lot of distracting background noise when I took this photo. So the question was "how do I bring him out?" I opted to change most of the photo to a monochrome and then use layers so I could erase the foreground and bring out the colored figure.

I don't think the rope is to keep spectators out, but to help the dancers know when they are getting close to the curb.
