To complete this current selection of London trams, here is the preserved centre-entrance Feltham in its final London Transport livery. Note the unusual split fleetname mentioned in the comment below. In reality, this tram can be seen at Crich Museum in its original Metropolitan Electric Tramways livery. Once again, thanks are due to Howard Piltz for the use of his original image (01-Dec-12).

What a difference a week makes! The snow has gone and the Brush Railcoach makes its final appearance on the Beamish circuit for the present time, this tme in the requested BR 'electric stock' green livery with white cab roofs. The green is noticeably bluer than the Blackpool version. This will be the last BR livery on this particular tram (02-Mar-13).

The Sheffield Supertram system opened in 1994 and was initially operated by a subsidiary of the South Yorkshire PTE, which still owns the infrastructure. Stagecoach assumed operational control in 1994 under a long-term franchise agreement, and the trams were initially repainted in the group's (then) standard striped livery.

This fictional image suggests what the system might have looked like if operations had commenced during the previous decade using Belgian-built GTL8 trams as supplied to the Dutch city of Den Haag (04-Jan-13).

This 'one off' image is for those who have asked me to feature more trams. I will be producing more but not just yet. This particular image is the result of two chance photographs that I was able to digitally merge. The 'real' tram Blackpool Standard 147 is at the rear in this Beamish street scene. Sister 159 is the result of some digital tweaking; in particular the re-positioned destination box and changed fleet number. The real 159 resides at the East Anglia Transport Museum at Carleton Coleville, whereas 147 is on loan from the Blackpool Tramway.

Had this been a planned image, the aim would have been to frame a scene that was wide enough to contain the tram in two successive positions and maintain the camera position until both exposures had been made. In the event, because I moved position slightly, some perspective adjustments were needed when blending the two images (14-Apr-16).

By request, here is an alternative interpretation of Lytham St Annes livery on a Blackpool 'Balloon' tram, using the Sunderland-style colour layout (but without the darker windscreen surround that I've just added to the latter). It looks rather like a blue version of the Blackpool 'Routemaster' livery. Given Blackpool's acquisition of Fylde Borough Transport (successor to Lytham St Annes Corporation Tramways), a tram in these colours may have been an appropriate and colourful addition to Blackpool's 'heritage' fleet (29-Sep-12).
