User / northernblue109 / Arriva London: Scania Omnicity (fiction)

Despite the well-publicised problems, it does seem as though the articulated bus was short-changed in London; but, perhaps, that's not surprising in a country that cannot deal with the 'wrong kind' of snow. In terms of vehicle types, it was almost a one-horse race: First ran some Wright Eclipse Fusions, but otherwise it was the Mercedes-Benz Citaro-G.

Arriva bought Citaros for its London operations, but switched to the Scania Omnicity for its Waterland franchise in the Netherlands. This fictional image shows what an Omnicity might have looked like with Arriva London (the white roof is a later addition to the basic London-specification livery). Like the Citaros, these vehicles would, no doubt, have ultimately been transferred to Arriva Malta (05-Jan-13).
