Having applied prototypically authentic registration and fleet numbers, I need to emphasise that the vehicle represented here is entirely fictional. The real Wilkinsons No 25 (APT 464) was a 1935 Burlingham-bodied Leyland TS7, which remained in the fleet until 1952. However, it was the type of vehicle from which Beadle was recovering mechanical units for incorporation in new chassisless coaches for major operators such as East Kent, East Yorkshire, Northern General and Southdown. This image shows what such a coach would have looked like in Wilkinson's colours, although perhaps it would have received a new registration (28-Jul-10).
