Three of these former Rhondda Weymann-bodied Leyland Royal Tigers came to West Auckland. The Eden purchased LNY 357 and 363, whist LNY 361 went just up the road to Lockeys. Coincidentally each operators subsequently bought a single example of the Saro-bodied Leyland Tiger Cub, Lockey's example at least being a direct replacement for the Royal Tiger.
All three Royal Tigers were new to the South Wales operator in 1952, making the long trip north thirteen years later. The Eden repainted its pair in overall red with maroon skirt - as far as I'm aware neither received the later cream and red livery. Both were sold to Hartlepool-based building contractor Yuille in 1966 (30-Dec-09).
