Gloucester-based Advenza Freight was one of the smaller and shortest-lived open-access freight operators. It adopted a rich blue livery with bold and distinctive lettering for its small fleet of Class 47s, 57s and 66s. Its core business was the movement of scrap metal from Stockton-on-Tees, Hitchin, Sheerness and Shipley to Cardiff, using leased bogie box wagons; supplemented by stock moves for other companies. Sadly the business was wound-up towards the end of 2009, the venture presumably not having been a financial success (30-Oct-10).
