The second batch of Class 24s and first batch of Class 25s featured roof-mounted route indicator boxes without the air horns of the later Class 25s. No examples of this body style have been preserved; this digital representation is based on preserved D5054, photographed running in tandem with the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway’s D5209 at Oxenhope in 1984. In addition to the roof indicator box, other changes include re-positioned tail lights and removal of the head code discs (17-Oct-21).
