Like the Y-Type of later years, the post-war Alexander single-deck body was used for both service bus and express coach work. This Alexander (Northern)-liveried version is actually an Alexander (Fife) vehicle because I could not find an appropriate Northern example, but inter-company transfers were not uncommon. Northern did run some similar Leyland OPS2s but these were wider and had a slightly different style of body trim (09-Oct-21).
