Established in 1998 to take over 88 former China Motor Bus routes, New World First Bus became the third largest bus operator in Hong Kong. Initially a joint venture between New World Development and UK-based First Group, it later came under the sole control of NWD, which subsequently purchased fellow franchised bus operator Citybus, re-uniting the former China Motor Bus franchised bus services on Hong Kong island under control of a single organisation. This fictional Mercedes-Benz Actros recovery vehicle is based on an image kindly provided by Martin Vonk (02-Nov-19).
