American trucks in the UK were found, most commonly, in the hands of owner-drivers, but they could occasionally be found in larger fleets. In either case, they may have been the best tool for a specific job or were simply acquired for prestige or vanity purposes. I'm not including Aberdeen-based McIntosh Heavy Logistics in either category and, indeed, have no reason to believe that the company ever operated American hardware; but this Mack R-Series certainly looks the part in the company's simple but attractive pain scheme. Thanks to TRUCKFLICKS for the base image (12-May-18).
