Stockton-on-Tees based Haulier Fred Robinson was an early UK customer for Scania Trucks, following a visit to the company's production plant in Sweden. LEE 617F was a long-time fleet member, and a personal favourite of Fred Robinson, being retained for preservation on conclusion of its operational life. I last saw it in 2002, shortly before the death of its owner; and its current ownership and status are unknown. I don't know whether this Scania was a 'one-off' in the Robinson fleet, which subsequently bought further Fodens, a make with which it had a long association.
