Grafting a coach front onto a Plaxton Highway body and fitting coach seats seems akin to putting 'go faster' stripes on a milk float - they doesn't change what it is, But the specification presumably satisfied its principal customer, Lancashire United Transport. The only other buyer that I'm aware of was Burwell & District, whose sole example 932 BCE survives in preservation (if you know of others, I would be interested to hear of them). I am grateful to Jim Neale for a copy of the original Plaxton monochrome photograph (08-Jan-17).
