This image was inspired by a fictional image on the rear of a Burwell & District book published by Jim Neale, who commissioned the accompanying B&D AEC Q image. In reality, 9 DER was a Willowbrook-bodied Daimler Fleetline operated by the original company, which sold out to Eastern Counties in June 1979. Initially preserved, it was later broken up for spares due to chassis and body frame rot. Thanks to Keith McGillivray for the base image (30-Jan-16).
