From its roots in the family-owned business of WH Malcolm, the Renfrewshire-based Malcolm Group has seen tremendous growth and diversification in recent years. Like the contemporary Stobart Group, it has become an icon of the road transport industry, with a superbly presented fleet of vehicles and a rich heritage. I will be featuring some modern vehicles shortly, but meanwhile here is a type that almost certainly has never carried the traditional Malcolm livery. The Bristol HA was built exclusively for British Road Services and very few saw second lives with other operators. After some deliberation, I decided to ignore the unusually deep quarter windows in the livery application (12-Mar-14).
