So I got a brief chance to test my new GoPro 4 Black this afternoon
underneath my Phantom 2.
The plan was to test stills and 4k video but the battery needed
charging after some in-car video testing during the last couple of
days.
The test is ultimately a failed one because I have no comparison
between a Protune enabled photo and and standard one.
The odd observation that I did make is that the Protune-enabled
pictures I did take all churned out source files of between 2 and
2.5MB in size which I found odd. The GoPro 3 Black+ typically churns
out file sizes of 5-7MB before I start editing.
There are different states of sharpness available too with the latest
GoPro incarnation - I chose medium for today's flight.
The post-edit file size is 15.6MB on a 12MP picture. This is probably
3-4MB more than the GP3B+ equivalent.
What I'll aim to do is replicate images with the 2 cameras next time
out and psot process identically to see what differences there are.
